Yesterday we organised a solidarity action to hold fashion
retailer NEXT to account for the plight of its workers in the
aftermath of the pandemic. Millions of garment workers were left
to bear the cost of the pandemic globally. While brands and
consumers have moved on, the workers are still dealing with
crushing debt and hardship after losing jobs due to loss of
orders. In Wai Full in Cambodia, workers who had spent years
making jeans for NEXT weren't even paid their legal
severance when the factory closed down. They were given NEXT to
nothing. The 308 Wai Full garment workers are not asking for
much - it would take Simon Wolfson, NEXT's CEO less than 2
days to make it. Yet NEXT is refusing to pay. NEXT to nothing is
